Duncan believed that in making thing you made yourself.
He lived in classical style, he didn’t wish to own anything that he hadn’t made himself.
He was the brother of the dancer Isodora Duncan.
He formed a school in Paris, 31 Rue de Seine, known as the Akademia, where he offered free classes.
He purchased the building with funds from a sale of classical artefact he had found.
